Have you heard the buzz about Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, but want to know more before you take the Externship (beginning) training? If you haven’t heard, Emotionally Focused Therapy is an attachment-based, experiential psychotherapy that can create secure attachment, increase relationship satisfaction, and even improve individual levels of depression and anxiety in the relationship partners! Join Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Member of The Atlanta Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (ACEFT) Amy Jaynes for an introduction to the concepts of adult attachment and the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy. You’ll learn about adult attachment styles, negative interaction cycles that keep couples locked in conflict and disconnection, and the key change events in EFT that ensure lasting change for couples. EFT is considered the Gold Standard in Couple Therapy and you’re going to get a taste of why! Participants will also leave with resources for additional training, consultation, and development in EFT at the local, national, and international levels.
